The Thai House

Holy moly, I love Thai food. The Thai House in Winfield, WV serves some of the best Thai cuisine in the Charleston region. Sure, Winfield is in the middle of BFE, but it's worth every second of the twenty minute drive from our house. I recently stopped there on my way back from a business trip to Huntington.

The picture shows my lunch serving of Pad Thai with beef. It's hot and sweet. It includes noodles, carrots, peanuts, beef and a bunch of other Asian goodness (that means I'm clueless as to what all's in it). It doesn't really matter, though. It tastes like a million frickin' bucks.

I'd blog a little more about the Thai House, but I hear my lovely wife rattling the dice for a game of Yahtzee. Yep, it's getting crazy on this Saturday night.

Peace. ;)

  1. Yum - Thai food! that may be worth a trip to Charleston seeing as we do not have a Thai restaurant here in Motown

  2. It is good. I haven't been since the moved from Dunbar. I'll have to go and check it out.

  3. Actually, a good friend recently told me a new place opened in Morgantown called Dragon Fly (next to Maxwell's downtown). He said they had Pad Thai on the menu. However, from his description it sounded more like it was more of a sushi bar than a Thai place. That's cool, though. Motown needs another sushi place.

It's interesting how the owner of the Thai House chose Dunbar and Winfield to place his restaurant. I guess if your food is good enough, people will come. Don't go from December 4th to January 7th, though. They're closing the place and heading to Thailand for Christmas.

  4. Is the Asian Garden no longer in Morgantown? That place had awesome thai food. First place I ever tried pad thai! It was located near Hibachi.
